Maryland voters approved Question 4 legalizing adult-use cannabis in November 2022, with recreational sales beginning July 1, 2023. The Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) regulates all licensed cannabis businesses.

Maryland adults 21+ may purchase up to 1.5 ounces of cannabis flower per transaction. Existing medical dispensaries converted to dual-use adult-use/medical operations when recreational sales began.

How to buy cannabis in Maryland
