Visiting a dispensary in Arizona

Arizona voters passed Proposition 207 (Smart and Safe Arizona Act) legalizing adult-use cannabis in November 2020, with recreational sales beginning in January 2021. The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licenses all dispensaries.

Arizona adults 21+ may purchase up to 1 ounce of cannabis per transaction, of which no more than 5 grams may be concentrate. Existing medical dispensaries were allowed to begin adult-use sales immediately after voter approval.

How to buy cannabis in Arizona

4. 4Pay and take your purchase home. Most Arizona dispensaries accept cash and debit. Cannabis must remain sealed until you are at your private residence. Do not consume in public or while driving.
